As I haven’t had any laser hair removal, I have to rely on more
traditional hair removal vis-à-vis razor blades. Although it can be
really time-consuming, it’s definitely preferable to using an electric
depilator: depilation can be extremely uncomfortable or sometimes
painful, unless completely and utterly anaesthetised by alcohol
consumption, hence I just go through quite a few blades per week!

Step 2) Primer

After having as close a shave as possible (preferably with a brand new
blade to avoid shaving rash!), I prepare my face with makeup primer
instead of moisturiser. If you smother your face with moisturiser
before applying foundation, then very soon your skin becomes oily.
Primer, although slightly more expensive, is definitely worth using
(especially if you have oily skin), as the makeup stays matt much
longer.

Step 3) Foundation

After letting the primer settle on your skin for a few minutes your
skin is ready for foundation. Most professional stage T-Girls use
‘Paint Stick’ foundation. It’s slightly heavier than liquid foundation
and is helpful at covering up the parts of the face that need to have
slightly more coverage, i.e. the top lip and chin area, where facial
hair is heaviest. Having said this, liquid foundation also stays matt
longer if primer is used beforehand, and if you don’t have that much
time, it’s quicker to apply.

Step 4) Powder

Translucent powder is the best to use in my opinion for a flawless
matt finish. After this, you have to contour your face with darker
powder to make your face look less two-dimensional. A blusher or
bronzer is used underneath the cheekbones, down the side of the nose
(to thin the bridge of the nose) and on the neck just underneath the
chin to cover up any hint of double chin!

Step 5) Eyes

Eyeshadow is next and is nearly always the hardest to apply. Stay
